Accountability Loops

Peer agreements that outperform policy during change.

Why Accountability Loops?

Accountability Loops are peer-to-peer follow-through systems that keep change efforts alive between formal check-ins. Rather than relying only on top-down supervision, teams co-create norms, make clear agreements, and close the loop quickly with short cadences.

Simple Loop Pattern

  1. Agree: Define 1–2 observable behaviors tied to a goal.
  2. Check-in: 10–15 minute cadence (weekly/biweekly).
  3. Adjust: Capture what worked, what slipped, what to change.
  4. Close the loop: Share outcomes; celebrate follow-through.
